The UC&CS GLOBAL CHINA DESK in LATIN AMERICA

The UC&CS Global China Desk provides advice and support to Latin American companies wishing to explore business opportunities in China and to Chinese companies wishing to conduct business or invest in Latin America. Our target Latin American companies include both Latin American companies which already have an established presence in China as well as companies contemplating entering the Chinese market for the first time.

Latin American companies with established operations in China
We will act as the primary contact for Latin American clients seeking growth opportunities or to improve their competitive position in China, and to organize and coordinate expertise across UC&CS China for assistance with matters including the following:
 

·     Market strategy and M&A advisory (e.g. target screening and valuation)

·     Financial and tax due diligence for potential acquisitions in China

·     Commercial or market due diligence

·     Advice on deal restructuring and identifying related key Chinese tax considerations / costs involved in the restructuring process

·     Assistance in designing and implementing governance and compliance programs

·     Other professional tax services

Latin American companies in the process of entering China
We will act as the first contact for clients contemplating entering China for the first time and provide assistance to validate the market entry strategy and business plan. We coordinate with other UC&CS firms in China to provide services including the following:
 

·         Assistance with assessing and establishing structuring of investment processes

·     Assistance with financial and tax due diligence of the target or JV partner

·     Strategy analysis and business plan validation

·     Post-deal integration services
